Biography

JENYKA is a songwriter, performer, and musician from Sofia, Bulgaria. At only 15 years old, she has already created an impressive catalog of original songs that touch the hearts of listeners around the world. Her music is a perfect blend of modern pop sound, captivating vocals, and lyrics that move and inspire.

Her debut original singles “Everything” and “Hopeless” were awarded as the best new pop songs at international competitions — “I Want Your Music” (Rome, Italy) and “On the Music Waves” (global format).

In 2021, JENYKA captivated audiences on the television show “Bulgaria’s Got Talent”, where her outstanding jazz and pop performances took her to the finals and won the hearts of the public. Her performances are not just music – they are emotion and soul, an expression of honesty and artistic depth.

Often described as a “descendant of the mythical Orpheus” for the magic in her voice, JENYKA began singing at just four years old. Between 2016 and 2022, she recorded 25 original children’s songs written by leading Bulgarian composers and poets, earning numerous awards, including the Grand Prix for Best Young Performer.

She is a seven-time finalist in the European Song Contest “Golden Sparks” and has repeatedly won awards for Best Children’s Song, Radio Award, and the World Artists Association Award. In 2021, she won the national contest for the anthem of the Historical Park of Bulgaria with her original song “This Land Is Mine”, surpassing many established artists.

JENYKA plays piano, ukulele, and drums, and has studied music theory and production. In 2022, she completed a Music Production course, and she is currently a student at AKATAMUS – High School of Performing Arts, as well as studying Music Business at Art-Visia Global.

At the international contest United Kids, she received the Special Award from acclaimed Ukrainian composer and producer Ruslan Kvinta, who created a song especially for her – resulting in her first international project, “Fly”. In 2023, the world-renowned duo XiJaro & Pitch described her as “one of the most emotional new voices” and invited her to collaborate on their project.

From 2024 to the present, JENYKA has released eight original songs, for which she is the writer and co-composer, working with talented musicians on arrangement, mixing, and mastering.

In 2025, she began performing as part of the global SOFAR Sounds concert network, where she held her first acoustic concert, proving she is ready to reach an even wider audience. Her songs are already airing on radio stations in France, Italy, and Belgium, and her music is available on all digital streaming platforms.

In January 2025, JENYKA was recognized by Brazilian media as one of the Top 10 emerging artists to watch in 2025, as part of a global initiative supporting young talents with great potential in the music industry.

JENYKA also has extensive theatrical experience – she played the lead role in the musical “Annie” (directed by Dimitar Gotchev), took part in a workshop led by West Hyler (Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour), and performed the songs of the main character in the musical “The Secret of Music.”

In 2025, she won the Best Original Music Award at the UKEFEST 2025 festival, solidifying her place as one of the most promising young songwriters on the Bulgarian music scene.
